For this assignment I took pictures of a parade downtown Saline. Also some of the pictures include a breakfast at a fire station before the parade started for people that go to my church or anyone who wanted some.
The editing that I had to do for this photo was cropping out some of the background. I also edited the color a little bit using Photoshop.com.
ISO= 80
Aperture=f/8
Exposure= 1/100
What I learned from this assignment was how to use different editing tools on photoshop. The hardest part of this assignment was trying to capture the people in the parade as they were going by. Some things were moving faster than others so I had to change my settings a lot so that the picture wouldn't be blurry.

Photo Dictionary Assignment
For this assignment we used photos to describe any word from the dictionary. We went online to get photos and used Gimp to edit them and create an eye catching picture. Also we had to include the word and its definition on the photo.

I learned from this assignment how to use the Gimp editing tools better and how to put different pictures together using the layers on Gimp better. The hardest part of this assignment was finding an interesting word that could be displayed well with pictures. After figuring out the word I was going to use it was hard finding interesting pictures to describe that word being used.

Photo Assignment 5- Black and White
For this assignment I chose to take pictures in black and white. I went around my house and found things that I thought would look cool captured in black and white.
No editing
ISO=160
Aperture= f/3.1
Exposure= 1/30

What I learned from this assignment was how to take a black and white photo using manual settings. I had to have just enough light so that it wouldn't create too many shadows or it didn't look very good. The hardest part was just trying to find something different to take a picture of and setting up everything to make a good picture.

Gimp Portrait Demo
For this assignment we went to our school's library that we used to take a portrait of someone. We also had to use a reflective board using the outside light and reflecting it onto the person that we were taking the picture of.
The hardest part of this assignment was trying to use GIMP with little instructions. We had to use our prior knowledge to figure out how to use new layers and how to frame the pictures.

Assignment 4- Maro
For this assignment I chose to take macro pictures. For the pictures I decided on taking pictures of flowers and my camera had a special setting for flowers which made it easier to get pictures with the correct settings.
No editing
ISO= 80
Aperture=f/3.1
Exposure= 1/20

The hardest part of this assignment was trying to decide what angle I wanted to capture the flower at. Also it was hard trying to find light that was good so that I wouldn't have to use the flash as much. I learned how to use a new setting on my camera made just for taking pictures of flowers which helped get the right exposure for the flower.

Photo Assignment 3- Architecture
For this assignment I chose to take pictures of Architecture. I went around downtown Ann Arbor to take these pictures.
ISO= 80
Exposure= 1/160
Aperture= f/8

The hardest part about this assignment was trying to find the right angles to take the certain picture at. Also working with shadows and trying to get enough light on the subject was hard in some spots. What I learned was how to work with the light given and to make adjustments to different camera settings.

Gimp Panoramic Assignment
In this Gimp assignment we had to work with panoramic pictures. Our class went around the school and took three pictures in line with each other so that when we put them together it would like one photo.
In Gimp I learned how to use different tools to blend the pictures together to look like on photo. We overlapped the photos to it would look like how you would actually see it. The hardest part of this assignment for me was that when I got to taking the third photo the lighting was different. I wasn't able to get the lighting just right, but I got it as close as possible. It took time using the eraser to erase different layers and any edges that weren't matching. I also learned how to use new tools in Gimp to put a panoramic picture together.

Photo Assignment 2- Food
For our classes second photo assignment, I chose to take pictures of food. The food that I took pictures of were at a cake auction that a group did to raise money. The way to take good pictures of food is trying to find the right angle in which you want the food to be displayed.
ISO = 160
Exposure = 125/1000
Aperture = f/4.4

What I learned from this assignment was that how hard it is to find a good angle to take a picture of the food. It takes time to prepare the position and change settings on your camera to fit the lighting conditions and the environment around. The most difficult part of this assignment was trying to position the deserts in a way that would look good for a picture.
